TK Burger

I love burgers, and I consider myself to be quite a good judge of one of my favorite foods! I’ve tried them all: In-N-Out, Slater’s 50/50, Five Guys, Grinderz, Eureka!, Stacked, Bunz, The Habit Burger, The Cut, Bosscat Kitchen, Umami Burger, Burger Lounge, Burger Boss—but I have to say: TK Burger is my absolute favorite.

A great value with fresh ingredients

TK Burger is definitely a fast food burger (it’s not the thick, steak-like burger you’d find at The Capitol Grille), and the price reflects this. This burger is reminiscent of an In-N-Out burger—but way better. For one, the ingredients:

Seasoned-before-they’re-cooked patties, which result in a juicy, flavorful, chargrilled patty. It’s a little greasy, but not as much as other fast-casual burgers.

Thick and fluffy buns that have a nice crust.

Fresh lettuce and tomatoes.

Crunchy pickles.

An option to add crisp bacon on top, if you’re feeling really wild.

Regardless of how you get it, it’s delicious. And most importantly, it doesn’t sit like a brick in your stomach.

The atmosphere leaves a lot to be desired

There are five locations in Orange County, and they tend to be old, dated shacks. They’re not dirty, but they feel kinda grungy because they’re old. The Huntington Beach location is right across from the beach, so it has some great views. 99% of the time I’d get my burger to-go and go eat it on the beach. The other major downside is the parking situation at all the locations. You’re best off walking (if possible) or parking a few blocks away. And hey—since you’re getting a burger, walking isn’t such a bad side dish.
